The A+Roofing Process
1. Handling Your Initial Request
Submit your request for storm damage inspection, roof repair, or complete roof replacement by calling our office or filling out our online form. We give equal attention to each request, no matter the size of the project.
To assist you better, we will collect your contact information (name, phone number, and email address), the type of service you require, how you heard about our company, and your preferred time for an appointment. We will then schedule the initial appointment and assign a qualified A+ Roofing professional to your project.
2. Inspection & Insurance Consultation
On the day of your appointment, our representative will thoroughly inspect your entire property for storm damage. A detailed diagram of the roof and other problem areas such as siding, gutters, and windows will be prepared, along with photographs. If you qualify for insurance reimbursement, we will identify the areas eligible for claims. If no storm damage is found, we will use the diagram and photos to prepare a retail price proposal for you.
3. Insurance Claim Assistance
Once you decide to use our company for your insurance restoration process, you will need to sign a Subject-To-Agreement document provided by your assigned representative and return it to our office or your representative.
Your assigned A+ Roofing representative will assist you in calling and opening a claim with your insurance company. You will either receive your claim number during this call or be contacted later with this information.
Once an adjuster is assigned to your claim, they will contact you to schedule a storm damage inspection. Inform us immediately with the adjuster’s details. It is your right to have an A+ Roofing representative present during the inspection to facilitate the claim negotiation process.
On the day of the insurance inspection, we will meet with your adjuster to point out all damages, discuss material and labor prices, and agree on the scope of work.
After the inspection, the adjuster will prepare a detailed report called the “Insurance Loss Sheet” and mail it to you. In some cases, you may receive the report immediately after the inspection. Submit this report to A+ Roofing for a detailed audit, and we will ensure its accuracy before preparing your job scope and proposal.
4. Written Contract
After completing the above steps, we will provide you with a proposal for the work to be done. Upon signing the contract and providing a down payment, your job will be forwarded to our production (restoration) department.
5. Job Approval & Supplement
Your contract will include a process called Supplementing. If our audit of your Insurance Loss Sheet reveals any missing items, we will submit a request to your insurance company to include these items and mail you a copy of this request. The contract will specify whether the job can start immediately or if it needs to be on hold until your insurance company approves the supplement.
6. Job Scheduling
The next step is scheduling your job. We will assign crews for your project and schedule installation dates for roofing, siding, gutters, painting, etc. We will pre-order all necessary materials and schedule their delivery. The dates will be coordinated with you, keeping in mind that weather conditions may affect the schedule.
7. Installation
Our roofing crew will arrive early in the morning to begin the tear-off process. To prevent exposing your home to inclement weather, our crews will only tear off what they can replace in one day. We will park a dump truck in your driveway for debris removal and cleanup. All necessary precautions will be taken to protect your house, premises, landscaping, and garden from construction debris.
Materials are typically delivered later in the morning. Our crew supervisor will verify that all delivered materials match the order.
After the tear-off process, we will assess the wood deck's condition. If any decking needs replacement, our crew will take pictures and notify you of the necessary replacements. The installation process will then continue, following the steps outlined in your contract:
- Ice and Water Shield
- Felt
- Drip Edge
- Shingles
- Vents
- Pipes
- Flashings Installation
Once the roofing work is completed, we will remove all debris from your property, using a magnet nail roller to pick up any fallen nails.
If your job includes additional trades like gutters, siding, or windows, additional crews will be sent no later than a week after the roof installation. Typically, siding is completed before gutter installation. Any painting or awnings will be scheduled as the final step.
8. Job Completion
Upon completion of all trades, our project manager will perform a final inspection to ensure that A+ Roofing quality standards are met. Your assigned representative will conduct a final walk-through with you to ensure the work meets your satisfaction. A completion certificate will then be given to you to sign and will be submitted to our office.
Once we receive your signed completion certificate, we will mark your job as complete and withdraw your file from production. If your project is insurance restoration work, we will submit final documents to your insurance company so they can release the depreciation funds on your claim.
9. Follow Up
Each of our contracts includes a warranty period for our workmanship. We take pride in our installation quality and provide a lasting service warranty, in addition to the best manufacturing guarantees. If you suspect any issues with our work, contact our office immediately, and we will prioritize your request.
